There's been a huge rearranging of almost all the backing Kanju units, so I thought it'd be helpful if I made a post for you guys and include some notes as to where you may have seen these guys before, while the mods work out new profile pages.
Little Gangs, Gang Star, Shadow WEST, Jr.BOYS BEST, Jr.BOYS SP
Little Gangs
- Chibiko Jr I don't really know. Sorry. The only one I know for sure was Sanda Soujiro (he's been introduced on Shokura before in games). I just wasn't looking *fail*. Don't even know how many members.
If anyone knows and can help me out, that'd be amazing.
Gang Star
- Fujiwara Joichiro - seems to have taken the leader role. Jo had been a member of Little Gangs for a really long time. I'm inclined to say that he was one of the original members with Matori. He was in the Locker Room episode of Daremo Shiranai J-Gakuen and was in a few of the Kanju ni Q corners earlier this year.
- Okazaki Takumi - Takumi was really popular during one of the 2009 Shokura in Osaka episodes. Formerly in Little Gangs.
- Nakata Atsushi - Was in the Fresh Junior corner back in 2009. Said he wants to someday dance for Nishikido Ryo's solo song.
- Imae Daichi - Was in the Fresh Junior corner back in 2009. Said that he wants to be in a drama with Akanishi Jin
- Koja Nairu - Formerly a member of Shadow WEST. He's been in a few of the Kanju ni Q corners this year, talking about how he and Koji have been working on making Shadow WEST a tight unit.
- Ohashi Kazuya - was formerly just a member of the general Kansai Johnnys' Jr., so yay for getting a unit! :D He was also in the Fresh Junior corner back in 2009. Said that he wants to someday work with Nakai Masahiro.
Shadow WEST
- Mukai Koji
- Kaneuchi Toma
☆ Sorry, for BEST and SP, it was a lot harder since most of them haven't ever been introduced on tv. These are the two units that Kanjani8, being the amazing sempai they are, have been taking around with them on their Dome Tour.
Jr.BOYS BEST
- Hayashi Matori - Joined the same time as Kunta, Hama-chan, and Daichi. Former member of Little Gangs and Kansai Boys, but he's been in Jr.BOYS for a while. I could go on and on about Matori, so I'll just stop here and say that recent exposure wise, he was Yoshimi in the Locker Room episode of Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen.
- Kusumoto Yukito - If you've seen a kid with wildly curly hair, you've seen Kusumoto. He's hard to miss. haha... He was in one of the Kanju dramas with Kamiyama and was also in the Locker Room episode of Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen.
- Yoshida Ryoya - Ryoya... he was in the tennis episode of Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen, but in general doesn't really get a lot of exposure even though he's been one of the main Jr.BOYS members since Amano and Shimizu left.
- Ota Hiroaki - Ota was the 'O' in OSSaN. He was also the main bully in that episode of Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen with Junta, Muro, Ito, and Kikuoka.
- Negoro Masamitsu - Negoro... A long time ago, maybe back in 2007, he spun his laptop on his finger during the Shokura game.
- Fugal Shawn Goku - Formerly a member of Gang Star.
- Kusama Richard Keita - Over the summer, Richard was moved from Jr.BOYS to Gang Star.
- Kitaura Satsuki - I don't think Satsuki's been in much, but he was in the first round of Marching J Kanju Intro videos.
Jr.BOYS SP
- Uemura Masaya - Formerly in Gang Star. He's also in some of the older Kanju ni Q episodes. The one that stands out for me was the one where Koyama and Murakami comment on not setting his hair.
- Arimoto Yu - Formerly in Gang Star. Did the more-Matrix-than-Matrix thing in his Marching J Intro video.
- Okamura Yuichiro - This summer, he went from Jr.BOYS to Gang Star. Stands out with his short spikey hair.
- Koga Ryosuke - Koga... hmm... I don't know if I've seen him on tv. He was the first one in the first Marching J Intro video.
- Kihara Kota - Was in the fifth Marching J Intro video.
- Mishima Kenta - Mishima! Much easier. He was Shige's rival in that episode of Daremo Shiranai J Gakuen.
- Murata Kazuma - First Marching J Intro video.
- Suezawa Seiya - Was placed into Gang Star just this summer. Was in the fifth Marching J Intro video.
- Matsuya Haruki - Was in the first Marching J Intro video.
- Kodama Kan - Was in the first Marching J Intro video.
- Muro Masaya - Youngest Muro, formerly in KyoOtoko... yeah. You guys already know who Masaya is. :p
And since a few of you are probably wondering...
Tatsuta Takayuki left at the end of August so that he can focus on his high school entrance exams. It's common for JHS 3rd years to 'retire' from their club activities over the summer for this reason. Wish him luch on his studies!
Yamashita Fuuga left a while ago. I haven't seen him since before the tour, so I was confused to see him in the Marching J Intro videos, but he wasn't at Kisumai or TakiTsuba and I don't think he's in the X'mas concerts.
Mukai Tatsuro left before last year's Christmas concerts, but he left so quietly that it was hard to be sure.
If I made any mistakes or if there are things that I can add, please let me know! This goes especially for the new Little Gangs and Jr.BOYS SP.
